Injured minor boy from Kupwara succumbs day after he met with accident | KNO

Kupwara, Nov 18 (KNO): A minor boy who was injured in a road accident at Trehgam in north Kashmir's Kupwara district yesterday, succumbed to his injuries, Wednesday morning. Wasir Ahmad Wani, a five-year-old boy, son of Abdul Rashid Wani, resident of Hanjipora Trehgam, Tuesday suffered injuries after he was hit by a car bearing registration number, JK09A- 7417. A police official told news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO), that the injured boy was immediately evacuated to Sub-district Hospital Kupwara for medical attention where from he was shifted to District Hospital for further treatment under critical condition. He said that this morning the Hospital authorities intimated that the injured boy had succumbed to his injuries. The body after the proper medico legal procedure was handed over to the legal heirs for last rites and burial, the official said. He also said that a case under relevant sections stands registered and more investigation into the same is underway—(KNO)
