Budgam, Nov 12 (KNO): The two-day drill was organized by the District Disaster Management Authority (DDMA) in collaboration with the National Disaster Response Force (NDRF) team.
Today, a mega drill was held in Central Kashmir’s Budgam district, a part of preparation for Disaster management and response.
The event was chaired by DySP Manzoor Ahmad and Principal of Budgam College Zadia Naseem. As per a statement issued to the news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO), a huge gathering of people were also present during the program.
Speaking on the occasion, DySP Manzoor Ahmad said that conduct of the mock-drill is very important in this area due to its topography, which is hilly and prone to earthquakes and landslides.
Meanwhile, the SDRF teams along with NDRF team and health department gave demonstration on the evacuation of the trapped people in the eventuality of earthquake and landslide—(KNO)
