Bandipora, Feb 15 (KNO): The 60-kilometre Tulail-Gurez road was reopened on Monday for traffic after remaining closed for more than two months due to heavy snowfall in Gurez Tehsil of north Kashmir's Bandipora district. Talking to news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO), Deputy Commissioner Bandipora Dr Owais Ahmad said that the Tulail- Gurez road was thrown open today after remaining closed for more than two months due to accumulation of snow in the region. Owais, however, advised people not to travel during late hours and follow every safety measure while travelling on the road. He said that the reopening of Tulail road is a good sign as vehicles carrying essential commodities could now reach the adjacent areas. About Bandipora-Gurez road, Owais said that the Razdan top is still under the freezing point that always remains a crucial and tough spot to clear. "Once we will receive clarification from BRO accordingly we will start road clearance, " he said.
