Srinagar, Nov 07 (KNO): Weatherman on Saturday said that Jammu and Kashmir is likely to witness a spell of rain and snowfall from November 12 onwards as a Western Disturbance is expected to affect the region. An official of the Meteorological Centre Srinagar told the news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO), weather is expected to remain generally dry on November 8 and 9, while generally cloudy conditions are likely to prevail on November 10 and 11. “Light spell of rain over plains and light snowfall over higher reaches at scattered places is expected towards on the evening or night of November 10,” he added. “Weather will remain generally cloudy on November 12 and 13, with light to moderate rain in plains and light to moderate snowfall over higher reaches at many places, particularly towards the evening or night of November 12,” the official said. A separate prediction issued by Kashmir Weather Forecast also indicated that the second Western Disturbance has gained intensity and is likely to affect Jammu and Kashmir between November 12 and 14. MET ADVISES FARMERS TO CONTINUE HARVESTING TILL NOV 10 Meanwhile, the MeT has advised farmers to continue harvesting and other agricultural operations until November 10 and ensure the safe storage of harvested crops.
