Ganderbal, Nov 12 (KNO): The traffic on Kijpora Bridge in Central Kashmir’s Ganderbal district was disrupted after the portion of the viaduct caved in. While the traffic is still being allowed to ply on the bridge, it is moving slowly due to the ongoing concerns about the bridge's stability. In response to the situation, the BRO 122 RCC of BEACON as per the news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO) has begun urgent work to address the issue. The temporary measures are intended to ensure safe passage for vehicles while the structural concerns are addressed, officials said. Despite the work, the traffic on the bridge is still operational but at a reduced speed to ensure safety, they said, adding that commuters have been advised to exercise caution and allow extra time for travel. Meanwhile, the authorities have assured the public that the necessary steps are being taken to restore the bridge's full functionality and are closely monitoring the situation—(KNO)
