Anantnag, Apr 05 (KNO): Minister for Social Welfare, Sakina Itoo said on Saturday that reservation is a sensitive issue and the government is taking it very seriously. She said the cabinet- sub-committee tasked with it will submit its report within the six-month timeline. Addressing a press conference, as per news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO), Itoo said,” if Omar Abdullah government had not been serious about this issue, they would not have formed a subcommittee or set a timeframe for submitting a report. “ She said the sub- committee is sharing details of its work regularly with the CM. The minister added that the committee would examine all representations submitted to it to ensure that its recommendations are implemented effectively. Without naming Peoples Conference president Sajad Gani Lone, she said a person asked a question about reservation but remained absent when it was listed. She accused Lone of twisting facts for political gains. She clarified that the current affidavit does not reflect the final stance of the government and that a revised one may be submitted if necessary—(KNO)
