TOP STORIES Jailed MP Rashid gets bail to attend father’s funeral in Langate | KNO Published 6 hours ago on May 18, 2026 By Waris Fayaz Srinagar, May 18 (KNO): Baramulla MP Engineer Rashid was on Monday granted bail to attend the last rites of his father, Haji Khazir Mohammad, who passed away after a brief illness at AIIMS Delhi. Family members told news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO) that Rashid has been allowed to participate in the funeral following his father’s death in New Delhi. Rashid has been granted bail till June 02. Notably, Rashid was earlier granted interim bail on April 28 to meet his ailing father. After spending a few days with his family, he returned to Tihar Jail on May 6.
