Srinagar, Nov 04 (KNO): J&K Anti-Corruption Bureau in collaboration with Department of Health and Medical Education and registered NGOs/Societies organized two programmes during ongoing Vigilance Awareness Week, 2024.
As per a statement issued to the news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO), the programme for Department of Health and Medical Education was organized at Baba Ghulam Shah Badshah University, Rajouri which was attended by participants virtually from Jammu, Poonch, Ramban, Udhampur and Budgam.
The awareness programme was organized at Molana Azad Memorial College, Jammu which was attended by participants from Rajouri and Udhampur.
During the first programme for Department of Health and Medical Education at Main Venue i.e. BGSBU Rajouri,.Abhishek Sharma, IAS DC Rajouri was Chief Guest, Randeep Kumar, SSP Rajouri, A.S. Bhatia, Principal GMC Rajouri, Anjum Sahab, Deen BGSBU, Rajouri as special guests, Sanjay Sharma, DVO Health as Speaker, Dr.ADS Manhas as Guest Speaker, CMO, BMOs and Para medical staff of medical department were present in the occasion.
About 500 participants were present at all the different locations. DIG ACB J&K Vikas Gupta and Rakesh Mangotra Director Health joined the programme online. Moreover, Sandeep Wazir, SSP ACB Hqrs was also present in the said programme at Rajouri.
Amit Verma, SSP ACB administered the pledge. All the dignitaries and volunteers present in the programme also took the pledge against Corruption.
Moreover, during the programme, a PowerPoint Presentation (PPT) was also presented on the Medical Department whereby different causes of corruption and consequences for public servants for indulging in corruption and ways to prevent it were delivered by the ACB officers. During the programmes, questionnaires were also served to the participants through mobile app and feedback was taken.
Besides, the Chief Guest and Guest Speakers in their lecture deliberated upon the need to create a culture of transparency, accountability and integrity in order to make our country a corruption free society. They also encouraged the audience to stand the corruption with a bold voice.
Similarly, during the 2nd programme regarding NGOs organized at main Venue at MAM College Jammu, Arun Manhas, Director Industries & Commerce Jammu was Chief Guest, Pawan Gupta Retd. SP, Mohd. Arshad (JKAS) and Pankaj Sasan, Zorawar Singh Jamwal, Editor Press Club as Guest Speakers and NGOs were also present on the occasion. About 210 participants were present at all the locations.
