Jammu, Oct 29 (KNO): The Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) Jammu and Kashmir on Thursday organised Youth Parliament sessions and vigilance awareness programmes in Jammu and Kishtwar as part of the ongoing Vigilance Awareness Week-2026. In a statement sent to the news agency Kashmir News Observer (KNO), an ACB spokesman said that programmes were held with an aim to promote integrity, transparency and accountability among youth and public servants. “The programmes were held under the national theme ‘Probity for Prosperity’ and witnessed enthusiastic participation from students, law interns, faculty members and government officials,” the spokesman said, adding, “The initiative was conceptualised by Director ACB J&K, Shakti Kumar Pathak, IPS, with a special focus on engaging youth in discussions on governance, departmental functioning and measures to eradicate corrupt practices.” “The initiative seeks to provide students and interns from law colleges and other educational institutions an opportunity to deliberate on departmental shortcomings, suggest reforms and promote transparent and time-bound delivery of public services. It also includes online opinion polls and the adoption of resolutions through Youth Parliament sessions,” he said. Following detailed deliberations, both motions and their accompanying resolutions were put to vote and passed by a majority, reflecting the participants’ commitment to transparent recruitment procedures, accountable administration and citizen-centric governance, the spokesman said. An interactive Kahoot questionnaire session, comprising 30 questions related to education and recruitment processes, was also organised.
