Pulwama, Nov 05 (KNO): After one year, a vital bridge on Pulwama-Anantnag road via litter is awaiting completion due to which public is suffering. As per the news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO), locals from Niloora’s Pulwama said that last year construction of a new bridge was started but it has not been completed yet due to unknown reasons Mohammad Akbar Ganaie, a local resident said that a small diversion has been constructed there but the road is connecting SIDCO Lassipora with National Highway and heavy motor vehicles are plying on the road. It was learnt that authorities worked on it for a few months and abandoned it, he said. Parvaiz Ahmad, another local, said that narrowness of the diversion leads to huge traffic jam as only one-sided traffic can ply on at one time. Locals said that they have brought the issue into the notice of higher ups time and again but nothing happened later. They said that apple season is at its peak, besides that the road is connecting SIDCO Lassipora with the National Highway but in absence of a bridge, people are affected. They requested higher ups to look into the matter at the earliest so that locals can heave a sigh of relief. An official of the R&B said that work on the bridge has been resumed again and it will be completed within a month—(KNO)
