Ganderbal, Oct 14 (KNO): To enhance connectivity and facilitate smoother traffic flow in the region, the authorities have started the construction and upgradation of Pandaach to Manigam road into 4-lane carriageway.
As per the details available with the news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO), the construction and upgradation of the existing 2 Lane to 4 Lane dual carriageway NH standard from Pandach to Manigam section in Ganderbal of NHI as part of Srinagar Ring Road Phase IIA under NH (O) in the Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir through an Engineering, Procurement and Construction (EPC) contract has commenced.
The estimated cost including utility and shifting cost for upgradation of existing 2 Lane to 4 Lane dual carriageway NH standard from Pandach to Manigam section of NHI in Ganderbal district is Rs 435.89 crore under two years of completion period and 5 years of maintenance period.
Officials stated that the upgraded road will significantly reduce travel time and improve safety for commuters and the project is expected to bolster local economic development and provide better access to essential services.
