Tourists jubilant as Tulip garden opens for public | KNO

Say Kashmir is paradise on earth, can’t express its beauty in words; 1.5 million Tulips, flower varieties mesmerise visitors

Srinagar, Mar 23 (KNO): Tourists from different States across the country were jubilant at the Asia’s largest Tulip garden in the foothills of Zabarwan Mountains overlooking famous Dal lake Srinagar that was thrown open for the public on Wednesday. As per the news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO), as the tulips were in full bloom, the visitors from different places including the locals were seen clicking the pictures in the rows of tulips at the garden. Pertinently, the garden was thrown open by Chief Secretary of Jammu and Kashmir, Dr Arun Kumar Mehta along with top officials of civil and police administration. At least 1.5 million Tulips and various varieties are in full bloom in the garden mesmerising every visitor. The tourists also expressed their joy and happiness. Talking to KNO, Manali, a female tourist from Surat Gujrat said that it was a wonderful day for her as she saw different colours of flowers in a pleasured way. She said that it is for the first time that she has witnessed such a beauty. “Kashmir is very beautiful place and every destination here is mesmerizing. I am going to miss Kashmir after reaching home,” she said. Muhammad, a resident of Maharashtra said Tulip garden is very attractive and the way flowers have been planted is catching the eye of everyone. “I am delighted to see the flowers. My eyes are relaxing here as flowers and this garden are beautiful and quite attractive.” “Kashmir is really a paradise on earth, whatever we had heard about Kashmir, we witnessed it after visiting here. We cannot express the beauty of Kashmir by words as the God has made this piece of land specially,” Muhammad said. Tapash Pariyal, a West Bengal resident said that it is for the first time that his family has seen such a beautiful place on the earth. “My entire family is enjoying in the garden,” he said—(KNO)
