Srinagar, Dec 17 (KNO): From a small bakery in Srinagar to becoming a groundbreaker in India’s food processing industry, Gulam Mahiuddin Sufi is proving how government support can transform dreams into reality.
As benefiting from the Prime Minister Formalisation of Micro Food Processing Enterprises (PMFME) Scheme, Sufi has not only expanded his business but also introduced a creative product with India’s first fortified bread enriched with essential nutrients like iron, folic acid, and vitamin B-12.
According to the news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO), the Ministry of Food Processing Industries shared a video in which Sufi explained how the scheme has helped him expand his business. “We manufacture 45 bakery products, including India’s first fortified bread enriched with iron, folic acid, and vitamin B-12.
