Baramulla, Sep 30 (KNO): A prominent Sikh leader, Amanjeet Singh has extended his community's support to former Deputy Chief Minister Muzafar Beig, acknowledging his long-standing contributions to the Sikh community and the overall development of Baramulla.
Addressing a presser in Baramulla, Singh as per the news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO), said that Beig played a pivotal role during his tenure as Deputy Chief Minister and Finance Minister, particularly noting the proposal of 35 employment opportunities specifically for the Sikh community.
He praised the former chief minister's efforts in uplifting the region, stating whatever Baramulla has witnessed in developmental terms, it was Muzafar Beig's vision and work.
Singh also recognized the efforts of Safina Beig, Muzafar Beig’s wife and former District Development Council (DDC) Chairperson of Baramulla, for fulfilling the expectations of Sikh community as well as the broader population of Baramulla.
“A leader must prove their credibility and Muzafar Beig has done so. His strong connection with the community over the years has led us to extend our full support to him in this election,” Singh added.
Notably, Baramulla is among the 40 assembly constituencies, going to polls in the third phase (final phase) of the assembly elections tomorrow—(KNO)
