Ganderbal, Jan 15 (KNO): Permanent Daily Labour (PDL) and Temporary Daily Labour (TDL) workers staged a protest in Ganderbal on Wednesday, urging the administration to address their long-pending demands. The workers, as per the news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO), have been demanding the immediate release of the seniority list and regularization of their services. One of the protesting employees said, “The aim of our protest is to seek regularization of our services and the release of the seniority list. We have decided to extend our protest until 4:00 PM tomorrow. None of us will report to duty, from Gurez to Ganderbal, until our demands are addressed. We urge the administration to take immediate action to resolve our issues. If not, we will further extend our strike.” Another worker added, “We have been working tirelessly under harsh conditions for years, but the administration has not yet acknowledged our contributions. All we want is justice—fair treatment and recognition for the hard work we’ve put in over the years.” The workers also emphasized that they deserve better treatment after years of service under challenging conditions—(KNO)
