Pahalgam, Apr 06 (KNO): A nomadic girl who is popularly known as "Rabbit girl" along with her minor sister has won hearts by returning a costly ring to a tourist in Pahalgam area of South Kashmir's Anantnag district. Mumtaza (12) and her sister Rubina (10) living in a dilapidated mud shed searched the forest area for hours to look for a ring lost by a tourist only to return it to him. The duo said that while going to their routine work, they saw some tourist wandering and searching for something. "Some locals were accompanying them as well, after inquiring about the matter, we came to know that a tourist has lost a costly ring in the area, so we too started searching. After over an hour, we managed to find the ring but till then tourists had left the place," they said. "So, we kept the ring with us and later returned to the tourist. They were very happy and rewarded us with some cash," they said. Mumtaza wants to become a doctor and Rubina a teacher but poverty is becoming an obstacle for them. The sisters roam around different parks in Pahalgam in search of tourists who take selfies with their per rabbits and in return get a little money to make both ends meet.
