Srinagar, Dec 17 (KNO): In a bid to meet the growing demand for Gulmarg Gondola tickets, the J&K Cable Car Corporation (JKCCC) has announced the launch of an online Tatkal Ticket Facility for the Gulmarg Gondola Project. The facility will go live on December 18, 2024, through the official website www.jammukashmircablecar.com. According to an official document, accessed by the news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO), the online Tatkal tickets will be available for booking daily at 5:00 PM for the next day’s visit. These tickets will be strictly issued against Tatkal charges. In addition to this, the JKCCC has made special provisions for foreign tourists, addressing the persistent demand from the Travel and Trade (T&T) fraternity. Foreign tourist tickets will be issued based on feasibility, and travel agencies must mail the details of foreign tourists at least two days prior to their intended visit. The details, including the names and passport numbers of the tourists, must be submitted to the official email cablecar@rediffmail.com, accompanied by a forwarding letter from the respective travel agency. The management has further emphasized that entry to the main gate of the Gulmarg Gondola Project will be strictly regulated, requiring valid ID proof that matches the ticket details. Syed Qamar Sajjad, Managing Director of JKCCC, assured that the new measures aim to enhance the tourist experience while streamlining ticket availability for both local and international visitors. This move is expected to bolster tourism in Gulmarg, one of the most sought-after destinations in Kashmir, particularly during the winter season—(KNO)
