Republic Day people’s function, come and attend; entry free for all: Div Com Bidhuri | KNO

Srinagar, Jan 21 (KNO): Divisional Commissioner Kashmir, Vijay Kumar Bidhuri on Tuesday extended an open invitation to the public to attend the Republic Day celebrations in Srinagar. Bidhuri, according to the news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO), while talking to reporters here, said, “The Republic Day is the function of people. Entry is free for all. No passes are required. Anyone can come and be a part of the event.” Referring to the enthusiasm shown by people during the last year’s Republic Day function held at Bakshi Stadium here, Div Com Bidhuri said, “Preparations have been to ensure that spirits of participants remain high.” He said that seating arrangements, LED screens, and refreshments have been arranged to ensure a comfortable experience for the public. “The arrangements are good, and we are looking forward to welcoming everyone to participate in the Republic Day celebrations,” he said. The Div Com also visited Bakhshi Stadium to assess the arrangements for the Republic Day celebrations. During this visit, he inspected the availability of drinking water and electricity, installation of LED screens, sound systems, seating arrangements, sanitation, and toilet facilities. On the occasion, he directed the Roads and Buildings department to install four LED screens at the stadium for live broadcast of the celebration proceedings. He also urged the relevant authorities to ensure adequate heating arrangements for guests and enjoined the Srinagar Municipal Corporation to deploy mobile toilets at the venue. Its in place to mention here that Deputy Chief Minister Surinder Choudhary will lead the ceremony in Srinagar at take salute at Bakshi Stadium here—(KNO)
