Jammu, Oct 04 (KNO): The Government Medical College (GMC) Doda is craving for the completion of under construction buildings, causing immense hardships to the faculty members and other officials. As per the news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO), the GMC Doda is one of the five new medical colleges announced in the year 2014 by the government of India, but it is yet to see the completion of construction works. All the buildings which will host the faculty members including the Principal's quarter are still incomplete due to non-availability of funds. The GoI had allotted Rs 110 crores for the construction purpose of GMC Doda but the contractor stopped the work due to the shortage of funds. The government recently announced more funds for completion but the construction work hasn't started yet. This year, the college will have its fifth and final batch of MBBS students and all the 100 students will have to stay outside the college as hostels—(KNO)
