TOP STORIES IGP Kashmir, IG CRPF visit north, south portal of new tunnel | KNO Published 174 weeks ago on September 08, 2021 By News Desk Srinagar, Sep 08 (KNO): Inspector General of Police (IGP) Kashmir zone, Vijay Kumar along with IG CRPF Deepak Ratan, DIG South Kashmir Range, DIG CRPF, SSP Kulgam and CO CRPF visited north and south portal of new tunnel and control room on Tuesday and held a detailed meeting. They also conducted a physical security review on the ground, a statement issued to the news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO) said. IGP Kashmir instructed field officers of police and CRPF to prepare and implement a comprehensive joint security-grid of old JT and new Navyug tunnel. Control room official presented a demonstration before IGP and other officers regarding the functioning of CCTV cameras and other gadgets. IGP Kashmir advised field officials of Navyug tunnel and NHA to conduct a mock drill of rescue action along with police and CRPF at the earliest.
