Srinagar, Oct 14 (KNO): Haj Committee of India (HCOIs) on Friday held a crucial meeting at its Mumbai headquarters to discuss various issues related to Haj 2023 and it was decided to restrict the Khudam-ul-Hujaj who have performed pilgrimage for five times, from undertaking the Haj pilgrimage. The meeting also stated that for Haj 2023, there will be likely no age bar for any pilgrim and arrangements will be better than Haj 2022.
As per news agency--Kashmir News Observer (KNO), from J&K, Member HCoI Er Aijaz Hussain participated in the meeting and put-forth his valuable suggestions. Aijaz said that meeting discussed various issues related to making Haj 2023 smoother and facilitate Haj pilgrims in more efficient and better way. He said that for Haj 2023, there will be no age bar for Haj pilgrims from Saudi Government.
Er Aijaz said that all the loopholes will be plugged and the points discussed and the feedback received from the Haj pilgrims who performed pilgrimage in 2022 were considered seriously and deliberated as well. He said in the upcoming pilgrimage, more facilities will be provided to pilgrimage.
Er Aijaz said earlier, HCoI took many review meetings and highlighted a series of issues for redressal and it was decided that better coordination will be maintained between Indian government and Saudi government for Haj 2023. The HCoI member said that the Khudam-ul-Hujaaj, who have performed Haj for five times won’t be allowed to proceed on the pilgrimage. The age of Khudam-ul-Hujaaj will also be fixed at 50.
Er Aijaz said that there was every likelihood that the forms for Haj 2023 will be put online in the month of November this year for hassle free completion of formalities at Haj house--(KNO)
