Srinagar, July 27(KNO) Continuing his public outreach program in the Lal Chowk Assembly constituency, senior BJP leader and DDC member for Khonmoh, Er Aijaz Hussain Saturday held a series of public programs where he inaugurated much awaited Rs 4.20 Crore worth project for upgradation of road from Khyber Cement factory upto Khonmoh under NABARD scheme. Showing his commitment towards public demands and concerns, Er Aijaz inaugurated the Rs 4.2 Crore worth road from Khyber Cement factory upto Khonmoh stop under NABARD that will ease the problems of commuters including locals and those living the industrial area. The step was highly hailed by the locals of Khonmoh who expressed their gratitude to the young leader for pursuing the issue vigorously. The DDC member for Khonmoh Er Aijaz while speaking on the occasion thanked people and stated that BJP was committed to serve the people and providing better roads, transport and drinking water to people was the party's top priority. He said unlike the past leaders, BJP doesn’t believe in hollow slogans and believes in actions rather than words. In another major public interaction program at Zawoora Srinagar, where ADC Srinagar Zahoor Ahmed participated . ADC Srinagar and Er Aijaz Hussain gave a patient hearing to peoples’ issues after which the DDC member submitted to ADC member the major demand of setting up the modern dispensary at Zawoora, macadamisation of interior road links, Improvment of LT & HT infrastructure,development of play fields and development and preservation of springs in the area. To the queries PHE dept assured that 1 lakh gallon reservoir and retrofitting of old pipelines is under consideration from department. ADC Srinagar also assured fulfilment of all the demands put forth by DDC member Er Aijaz in a time bound manner. Later, Er Aijaz also chaired a public interaction program at Batamaloo where he listened to a series of public issues and assured them redressal on a fast track basis. He took the stock of the work at the marriage hall where some work is still pending as the marriage hall is coming up at the cost of Rs 3.5 Crore. The locals sought facilities like gates, windows and doors at the marriage hall so that it could be made available for the general public. Er Aijaz assured them that the pending work of the marriage hall will be completed within the shortest possible time. Later, Er Aijaz also inspected the drains, interior link roads, lanes and by-lanes the work of which will be taken in the next phase. At Batamaloo, the locals demanded parks for recreational activities and space proper auto stand in the area to which Er Aijaz assured them that he will take up the matter with the concerned for speedy redressal.Er Aijaz also visited old bus stand Batamaloo and gave a patient hearing to shopkeepers including those dealing with repair of vehicles.
