Sources told the news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO) that the district administration had suggested timing for Eid prayer at Jama Masjid which was not agreed to by the management of the mosque. It is unlikely that the Eid prayer will be held at the grand mosque. The Auqaf had announced that Eid-ul-Fitr prayer will be offered at 09:00 am Authorities today allowed Jumma-tul-Vida—the farewell Friday prayer of the holy month of Ramadan—at the Jama Masjid after four years.
