Srinagar, May 16 (KNO): District Magistrate Srinagar, Mohammed Aijaz Asad Saturday ordered suspension of eight Chemist shops for five days after the owners were found violating the norms set by the government.
Deputy Commissioner (DC) Srinagar passed the directions while conducting surprise inspection of Chemist shops in various areas of Srinagar City.
The eight Chemist shops whose operation has been suspended for five days from May 15 to May 19 include Lutfan Medicate Kaksarai, Medlife Chemists and Druggists Kaksarai, New Light Medical Hall Kaksarai, Cooperative Medical Store SMHS hospital, Metro Professional Pharmacy Rainawari, K. I. Medicate Rainawari, Biocare Medicate Rainawari and New Health Zone Rainawari.
The violations include absence of qualified persons, not maintaining sale purchase records, unhygienic conditions, cold storage drugs, records of psychotropic drugs.
Meanwhile, Deputy Commissioner has asked all Chemists operating in Srinagar to adhere to the laid down norms strictly—(KNO)
