Srinagar, Dec 11 (KNO): Tourists visiting Kashmir are soaking in the region’s breathtaking beauty and renowned hospitality, even as the valley braces for the season’s first snowfall. Despite the chill, the warmth of local hospitality has left visitors enchanted, making their stay a truly memorable experience. Many tourists can be seen enjoying the serenity of the world-famous Dal Lake, where picturesque houseboats and the backdrop of majestic mountains create a stunning winter landscape. Speaking with the news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO), a tourist enjoying a steaming cup of coffee by the lake said, “We came here hoping to witness the magic of snowfall. The scenery is already heavenly, and we can only imagine how spectacular it will look under a blanket of snow.” Tarun Kumar, a visitor from Delhi, said the highlight of his trip was the allure of the lake and the charm of the houseboats. “The people here are incredibly welcoming, and the food is simply amazing. Even in this cold weather, it feels cosy and comforting,” he said. Director Tourism, Raja Yaqoob said there is an increasing influx of visitors, including international tourists. “Despite the delayed snowfall this year, we are welcoming 200-500 international tourists daily,” he said.
