The School Education Department in this regard had issued a notification to all Chief Education Officers (CEOs) of Kashmir division, a copy of which lies with the news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO). “Since enrolment drive is in full swing in all the schools of the division which has resulted in the additional demand of books in addition to the figures already projected by your district earlier,” reads the notification issued by the Director of School Education Kashmir (DSEK). However, for classes I-VIII there is also a considerable increase in new enrolment for which more books will be required,” it reads.
