Minor boy, woman injured after gas explosion in Anantnag school | KNO

Srinagar, Jun 15 (KNO): An elderly woman and a minor boy were injured in a gas cylinder explosion in middle school Jafarpora locality of Anantnag district on Saturday, officials said, adding that both have been hospitalised with burn injuries. An official told news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO) that the the 50-year-old woman, working as cook the school, and 4-year-old boy got injured after a gas cylinder exploded apparently to leakage. He said that following the incident both were shifted to SDH Bijbhera where from they were referred to SMHS hospital Srinagar for advanced treatment. “The woman has received 30 percent burn injuries, while the boy has received 60 percent burn injuries,” he said, adding that the fire caused by the explosion has been put off. The woman has been identified as Hajira wife of Abdul Ganie and minor boy as Zian son of Mohammad Ashraf—(KNO)
