Minister Sharma assures extra ration, late-night transport for Muharram | KNO

Srinagar, Jun 18 (KNO): Cabinet Minister for Food, Civil Supplies & Consumer Affairs and Transport, Satish Sharma on Wednesday said the administration would step up support for the upcoming Muharram observances. Speaking to reporters in Zadibal here, Sharma, as reported by the news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO), said the government will make sustained efforts to meet all public demands for Muharram this year. “We will try our best to ensure that the arrangements for Muharram this year are improved. Wherever there are public demands, we will make every effort to fulfil them,” he said. The minister said transport services will be available during late hours in areas where demand is high. “As people had demanded transport services till late hours, we will try to ensure that this is arranged this time,” he said. Sharma added that extra ration quotas and other essential arrangements, including transportation and security, will be put in place. “This time, all kinds of arrangements will be better, whether it is ration or transportation. You will see the change,” he added—(KNO)
