Sopore, Oct 31 (KNO): MLA Wagoora-Kreeri, Irfan Hafiz Lone and MLA Sopore, Irshad Rasool Kar on Thursday called for improved coordination among departments to ensure that essential services reach the local population efficiently and effectively. "We will ensure that the general public does not suffer in any way. We have been elected by the people and will stick to their expectations", the MLAs said while holding joint review meetings with key line departments here to address public concerns. According to the news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO), the departments involved included the Power Development Department (PDD), Public Health Engineering (PHE), Health, Education and others. The MLAs were apprised of various ongoing works. Additional Deputy Commissioner (ADC) Sopore was also present in the meeting. During the meeting, the MLAs assessed various developmental issues pertaining to road connectivity, water supply concerns, health sector initiatives and upgrades, school education, accelerating the irrigation canal network, rural development, horticulture, agriculture works and schemes and other matters of public importance. Health officials were issued strict directives to ensure that all available facilities at the health institutions are initiated for the benefit of the larger public besides, requested PWD for the prompt compilation and submission of Detailed Project Reports (DPRs) to ensure the timely commencement of newly initiated works. Officials also discussed issues affecting public welfare and outlined measures to enhance service delivery in these sectors—(KNO)
