PoK resident held after crossing LoC in Poonch | KNO

Poonch, Jun 28 (KNO): A 31-year-old man from Pakistan-occupied Kashmir (PoK) was apprehended by security forces after allegedly crossing the Line of Control (LoC) in the Balakote sector of Poonch district on Sunday, officials said. Officials told the news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO) that the man was taken into custody shortly after he allegedly crossed into the Indian side of the LoC in the Balakote sector. They said the individual has been identified as Rayees Khan (31), a resident of PoK, and is being questioned to ascertain the purpose of the crossing and to determine whether he acted alone or had any accomplices. “He was taken into custody soon after crossing to this side of the LoC,” the officials said. Meanwhile, security has been tightened and surveillance intensified along the LoC in the area as a precautionary measure, they added—(KNO)
