Srinagar, Jun 04 (KNO): The upcoming trials for the Epic Victory Cricket League (EVCL) have received an overwhelming response from aspiring cricketers in Srinagar and other cities, prompting the organisers to open additional slots for new registrations.
As per the details available with the news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO), the trials are scheduled to take place on June 28 at Doon International School in Srinagar.
Organisers said the event offers a unique platform for local talent to be part of the EVCL’s inaugural season, which is being launched in Kashmir this year.
“EVCL will provide a much-needed platform for young players not only in Jammu and Kashmir but also from states like Uttar Pradesh and Punjab,” said Praveen Kumar, League Commissioner of EVCL.
“It is not just a tournament; it is a platform to change lives. I urge all young cricketers of J&K to take part in large numbers,” he said.
“The trials are open to male cricketers aged between 14 and 39. A selection committee comprising members from various state cricket associations and the EVCL apex council will oversee the process. Registrations can be completed on the official website: [www.evcl.co.in](http://www.evcl.co.in),” the details said.
Notably, the EVCL matches are set to be broadcast on a leading OTT platform in more than seven languages, including English, Hindi, Kashmiri, and Dogri—marking the first time cricket will be covered in regional languages for the local audience—(KNO)
