Srinagar//(10TH April 2018)// Jammu Kashmir Liberation Front (JKLF) staged a protest outside Indian High Commission in London today against the brutalities of Indian forces in Jammu Kashmir and particularly against barbaric and unlawful killings in south Kashmir district of Shopian, where more than two dozen innocent people were killed and over two hundred people seriously injured. Hundreds of protesters including women and children chanted slogans for complete freedom of Jammu Kashmir and withdrawal of occupying forces from the state.

Protestors demanded from the international community to intervene and save lives of innocent people of Jammu Kashmir, and help secure justice for victims of Shopian massacre. Protesters also demanded from United Nations to send fact finding mission to Indian held Jammu Kashmir to highlight the barbaric face of India and its forces in Jammu Kashmir. At the end of the protest, a delegation led by JKLF UK president Sabir Gul and prominent leaders tried to hand a memorandum to Indian High Commissioner, who refused to accept it. This unethical diplomatic practice has been repeated by Indian High Commission in the UK for a few years.

Talking to media, JKLF President Sabir Gul strongly condemned Indian forces' brutalities in Jammu Kashmir and unlawful arrests of pro freedom leadership. He also warned India that use of power and inhuman laws cannot suppress the voice of independence and this peaceful and non-violent struggle will continue until our ultimate destiny of independent Jammu Kashmir. Jammu Kashmir liberation Front (JKLF) Muhammad Yasin Malik has paid rich tributes to martyr Gowhar Amin Bahadur of Batamaloo who was martyred in 1993 by BSF in custody.

Recalling the struggle and sacrifice of Shaheed Gowhar, JKLF chairman said that he was a brave person and was a close associate of Shaheed I Hurriyat Sheikh Abdul Hamid. JKLF chairman while expressing solidarity with his family also prayed for his elevation in Jannah. Meanwhile JKLF chairman has expressed his heartfelt grief and sorrow over the demise of Ali Muhammad Butt of Batamaloo who was the brother in law of JKLF zonal vice president Muhammad Sideeq Shah. JKLF chairman also expressed his grief over the demise of Ghulam Muhammad Khan of Batmaloo and at the demise of the uncle of senior journalist Jenab Meraj ud din. Deceased Ghulam Muhammad Khan @ Gamma was the father in law of Shaheed Gowhar Amin Bahadur.

JKLF leaders advocate Bashir Ahmad Butt, Ghulam Rasool Dar Eidhi, Mushtaq Ajmal and others visited the bereaved family of Ali Muhammad Butt at Batamaloo and expressed solidarity with them. While praying for the heavenly abode of all the deceased, JKLF leaders prayed for Sabr-I-Jamil to their bereaved families.
