Qazi Abdul Qayoom Promoted as Director Prosecution, J&K | KNO

Srinagar, Apr 16 (KNO): The Jammu and Kashmir Government Thursday approved the promotion of Qazi Abdul Qayoom as Director Prosecution in the Prosecution Department. According to an order issued by the Home Department as per news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO), the promotion has been effected on the recommendations of the Jammu and Kashmir Public Service Commission. Prior to this elevation, Qayoom was serving as Joint Director Prosecution. As per order issued, he will assume the charge of Director Prosecution with prospective effect. "An experienced officer, Qayoom is known for his longstanding service in the Prosecution Department. His promotion is expected to further streamline prosecutorial functions and strengthen the justice delivery mechanism in the Union Territory," said a group of his colleagues—(KNO)
