Khurshid Ahmad Bhat likely to head J&K assembly Secretariat | KNO

Srinagar, Sept 07 (KNO): Khurshid Ahmad Bhat, currently serving as Special Secretary in the Law, Justice and Parliamentary Affairs Department and OSD to the Advisor in the Chief Minister’s Secretariat, is likely to be appointed as the new Secretary of the J&K Legislative Assembly Secretariat, sources said. Sources close to the development told the news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO), the government may soon take a decision on the key administrative post, with Khurshid Ahmad Bhat emerging as a possible choice in view of his administrative and parliamentary affairs experience. They said no formal order regarding his appointment has been issued so far and the final decision is expected from the J&K Government. Pertainly, Khurshid Ahmad Bhat is currently serving as Special Secretary in the J&K Law, Justice and Parliamentary Affairs Department and as OSD to the Advisor in the Chief Minister’s Secretariat. His present responsibilities involve matters related to administration and parliamentary affairs, experience that could be relevant to the functioning of the Legislative Assembly Secretariat.
