Authorities to impose restrictions across Kashmir tomorrow | KNO

Srinagar, Mar 01 (KNO): Authorities on Sunday evening announced that restrictions will be imposed across all districts of Kashmir from Monday as a precautionary measure following tension over the death of Iran’s Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei. Senior officials in the security establishment told the news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO), that the decision to impose restrictions is a precautionary measure to maintain law and order and prevent any untoward incidents in view of demonstrations reported from several Kashmir parts. “Restrictions will be imposed on Monday as a precautionary measure. The situation will be closely monitored,” a top official told KNO. Officials said security forces were deployed at sensitive locations on Sunday to maintain peace. Director General of Police Nalin Prabhat, accompanied by Inspector General of Police, Kashmir, Vidhi Kumar Birdi, visited various locations to assess the ground situation, officials said. Authorities reiterated that the restrictions were aimed at ensuring peace and preventing escalation—(KNO)
