CUK celebrates ‘Hindi Divas’ | KNO

Ganderbal, Sept 14 (KNO) : Central University of Kashmir (CUK), Registrar, Prof. Fayaz Ahmad Nika Friday inaugurated Hindi-Divas at varsity’s Nunar administrative campus here.

Senior Research Officer, Committee of Parliament on Official Language, Prof. Pradeep Kumar was the Chief Guest while as Finance Officer, Mr. Bashir Ahmad Haji, Hindi Adhikari, Ms. Sakina Akhter and other administrative officers were also present during the function organised by the Rajbhasha Cell of the varsity. Addressing the gathering, Prof.

Fayaz Ahmad Nika said the languages does not belong to any religion, community or ethnicity. “People should learn different languages of the world, particularly of the country, in addition to their mother tongue, as it would prove extremely beneficial for them while travelling and communicating with individuals belonging to different States,” Prof. Nika said.

He hailed the employees of the varsity for passing the Prabodh, Praveen and Pragya courses with high percentage of marks, adding that the employees have evinced keen interest in learning Hindi. CUK Registrar also gave a brief resume of the measures taken by the university to promote Hindi among the staff members. Senior Research Officer, Committee of Parliament on Official Language, Prof. Pradeep Kumar while speaking on the occasion, asked the employees to use simple Hindi words in order to communicate effectively.

He said, “The main aim while writing and speaking the language should be to communicate with others in easiest way,”. He complimented the Raj Bhasha Cell for holding the celebrations. Hindi Adhikari, Ms. Sakina Akhter conducted the programme proceedings and informed the participants about the steps taken by the Rajbhasha Cell for Hindi promotion in the university. Later, Prof. Fayaz Ahmad Nika distributed prizes and certificates among the employees who secured first three positions during the examinations conducted in Hindi Pakhwara. Laboratory Attendant, Mr.

Irfan Bhat bagged the first prize of Rs 2500 while as Mr. Tabassum Imran Bassu and Mr. Naveed bagged the second prize of Rs 2000 and third prize of Rs 1500 respectively. Registrar, Prof. Fayaz A Nikka also distributed participation certificates among the participants.
