Waqf Board hikes salaries of Imams, Khateebs, other employees | KNO

Srinagar, Mar 29 (KNO): The Jammu and Kashmir Waqf Board on Saturday announced the hike in the monthly salaries of the Imams, Khateebs and other employees. According to an order, a copy of which lies with the news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO), a hike of 20 per cent on last drawn pay has been announced for Imams for five-time prayers and Friday Khateebs in Jammu and Kashmir. The order has been issued after the approval by the Chairperson Waqf Board. As per the order, the revised salaries for Skilled employees is Rs 18,000 while semi-skilled and unskilled will get Rs 16,000 and Rs 15,000 respectively. Furthermore, the revised Fixed Traveling Allowance (FTA) for Junior Engineers is enhanced from Rs 500 to Rs 3500 and for Supervisors from Rs 300 to Rs 2500. The revised salary, wages and honorarium shall take effect from 01-03-2025—(KNO)
