Srinagar, Oct 27 (KNO): The Jammu and Kashmir Civil Engineering Graduates Association (J&K CEGA) on Tuesday congratulated Javed Ahmad Rana on his retention in the Council of Ministers, acknowledging his performance, commitment to public service and administrative leadership, particularly in the Jal Shakti Department.
In a statement issued to the news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO), a spokesperson said the Association, representing civil engineering graduates serving the Government of Jammu and Kashmir at various levels, including serving and former Chief Engineers, expressed gratitude to Chief Minister Omar Abdullah for reposing continued confidence in Rana and retaining him in the Cabinet.
J&K CEGA said continuity in leadership would help consolidate ongoing reforms, expedite key infrastructure projects and fulfil the developmental vision envisaged by the minister for the Jal Shakti sector.
The Association also expressed hope that the renewed tenure would provide an opportunity to address long-pending service-related issues of engineers, particularly Assured Career Progression (ACP), regularisation of eligible engineers and other cadre-related matters.
It stressed that resolving these issues would strengthen the morale of the engineering fraternity and enhance its efficiency and commitment to public service.
J&K CEGA reiterated its confidence that, under Rana’s continued leadership and the guidance of the Chief Minister, the Jal Shakti Department would achieve further milestones in public infrastructure development and the delivery of essential services to the people of Jammu and Kashmir. —(KNO)
