Srinagar, Mar 29 (KNO): As Eid-ul-Fitr is nearing, the markets in Kashmir are full of shoppers with roads filled with people and a celebratory mood surrounding the atmosphere. From shopping outlets to bakery stores, the business is picking up as people shop for the last time to welcome the celebratory occasion. As per the information available with the news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO), Srinagar's Lal Chowk, Polo View, and Residency Road and other markets are experiencing crowded buyers, with customers grabbing clothing, shoes, and sweets. Henna, bangles, and decorative vendors have pitched their stalls, further enhancing the festive fervour. Amina, a customer at Lal Chowk Srinagar said, Eid is not complete without shopping and children’s gifts. “We have been shopping for the last few days, but the actual rush is witnessed in the last hour,” she added. Likewise, sweet and bakery shops also have an excessive response, and individuals are purchasing special delicacies for the same. “Eid is about traditional sweets here. Bakery goods demand has surged,” Bashir Ahmad, an owner of a bakery shop in Srinagar, said. Further, traffic congestion has increased in business centers, with the government deploying extra staff to handle the traffic. “We request people to adhere to the traffic rules so that movement remains smooth in this festive season,” said a traffic department official—(KNO)
