Jammu, Sep 10 (KNO): Director General of Police (DGP) Nalin Prabhat on Thursday commended the commitment and efforts of joint team of security forces manning the strategically important Doda-Kathua-Udhampur trijunction area.
According to the details available with the news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO) DGP Prabhat visited a Joint Temporary Operating Base (TOB) manned by the jawans of Special Operations Group (SOG), Rashtriya Rifles (RR) and Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF).
DGP Prabhat interacted with personnel deployed at the Joint TOB and commended them for their alertness, dedication and operational commitment. He emphasised the importance of maintaining high levels of vigilance and ensuring close coordination among all security agencies to effectively address emerging security challenges.
The DGP was accompanied by the Inspector General of Police, Jammu Zone Tejinder Singh, Deputy Inspector General (DIG), Doda-Kishtwar-Ramban (DKR) Range Sargun Shukla, Deputy Inspector General, Udhampur-Ramban Range, Shiv Kumar Sharma and Senior Superintendent of Police, Doda.
An official said that during the visit, senior officers reviewed security arrangements, operational preparedness and counter-terrorism measures being implemented by the joint forces in the region.
“They also assessed the prevailing security situation and discussed steps to further enhance inter-agency coordination, area domination and surveillance across the strategically sensitive belt,” he added.
The visit was part of ongoing efforts by the Jammu and Kashmir Police and other security agencies to strengthen the security grid and reinforce arrangements in vulnerable and strategically significant areas—(KNO)
