Forces fired in the air to disperse the stone pelting youth, reports said. “A youth was injured in clashes,” said a local. The youth has been identified as Nazir Ahmad, a resident of Bandipora. He was immediately rushed to JVC hospital Srinagar where he was provided necessary first aid and was shifted to SKIMS Srinagar for specialized treatment. Sources in the SKIMS said that the said youth is critical. He is being operated upon, sources said. Meanwhile, the locals in Rangreth said that forces ‘target fired’ at Nazir Ahmad when he was standing near a local shop. Reports said that Sashastra Seema Bal (SSB) personnel were withdrawing from the area when they came under stone-pelting. “They (SSB) resorted to aerial firing to disperse the protesters.
