2 Killed, 2 injured in Pampore road mishap | KNO

Pampore, Aug 13 (KNO): Two persons lost their lives while as two others were injured in a deadly road accident on Srinagar-Jammu National Highway at Pampore area of South Kashmir’s Pulwama district on Thursday. Eyewitnesses told news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO) that a speedy dumper loaded with boulders overturned and crushed on to a swift car in which four persons were injured. They said that the injured were shifted to SDH Pampore where two of them were declared brought dead. Block Medical Officer (BMO) Pampore Dr Gulzar Ahmad said that two persons were brought dead while as two injured persons were referred to SMHS and are stable. He said that among the two dead, one was identified as Raja, 23, son of Jameel Ahmad, resident of Reasi, at present Awantipora, while the identity of second deceased is being ascertained. He identified the injured persons as Rafakat Ahmad son of Bashir Ahmad resident of Noorpora Tral and Mashook Ahmad son of Mohammad Ramzan Khanday, resident of Tazipora, Kulgam. A police official said that a case has been registered in this regard and investigation has been taken up—(KNO)
