LeT militant planning to carry out attack held in Hajin, Bandipora | KNO

Handwara, Aug 12 (KNO): An active militant of Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT), who was planning to carry out an attack was arrested in north Kashmir's Bandipora district, police said on Wednesday. In a statement issued to the news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO), police said that an active LeT militant who was planning to carry out out an attack was arrested from Hajin area of Bandipora by the joint team of forces. "The  joint team of Special Operation Group (SOG) Handwara and Bandipora including Army's 13 and 32 Rashtriya Rifles and 92 CRPF on developing developing specific inputs about the plans of attack by militants launched joint operation," the statement said. It added that the joint team of forces arrested an active militant of Lashkar-e-Taiba outfit at Hajin, Bandipora along with incriminating material including arms and ammunition. It further said that a case under FIR number  77/2020 under section 7/25 indian arms  Act, 13 18, 20 ULA(P) Act has been registered in Police Station Kralgund  and further investigation has beeb taken up. Police identified the arrested militant as Auqib Ahmad Rather alias Jana, son of Ghulan Mohammad Rather of Sahipora Handwara in Kupwara district—(KNO)
