Sopore, July 01 (KNO): A CRPF man and a father of a three-year-old baby were killed while three CRPF men received bullet injuries after militants attacked CRPF patrolling party in Sopore area of north Kashmir’s Baramulla district. The condition of three injured CRPF men is stated as critical. Officials told news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO), that at 8:45 am, militants attacked CRPF patrolling party at Sopore by firing indiscriminately. “Four CRPF men sustained injuries of which one succumbed,” said CRPF spokesman Junaid Khan. He said three others are being treated. A police official said that a civilian identified as Bashir Ahmed of HMT, Srinagar, who was carrying his three-year-old baby in his lap, also died after receiving bullets. “The baby was wailing at the body of his father. A police man reached the spot and rescued the baby by taking him in his lap,” the official said—(KNO) Further details awaited
