Govt directs Admin Secretaries to furnish action taken report regarding implementation of RTI in JK | KNO

Srinagar, June 24 (KNO): The government in the Union Territory of Jammu & Kashmir on Wednesday directed all the administrative secretaries to furnish the action taken report regarding the implementation of the provisions of Right to Information Act. In order, copy of which lies with the news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO) the government has directed the administrative secretaries to furnish the requisite information at the earliest. “In terms of government Order No. 45-K(GAD) of 2020 dated 08.01.2020, all the pubic authorities in the Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir, were directed to appoint Public Information Officers and First Appellate Authorities in all administrative units/offices under the Right to Information Act, 2005,” the order states. The order further directs the administrative secretaries to furnish the action taken report in respect of their departments and subordinate offices, with details of all the CPIOS and the First Appellate Authorities, besides updating the Departmental websites accordingly—(KNO)
