Teacher suspended for posting blasphemous content on social media in Ramban | KNO

Jammu, June 24 (KNO): Chief education officer Ramban on Wednesday ordered for the suspension of teacher for posting of blasphemous content on social media. The teacher has been identified as Om Raj, who was posted at Govt High School Soomber Ramban, sources told news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO) As per the official order, Raj has been attached in the office of ZEO Batote while as Principal HSS Batote and Headmaster High School Jhatgali have been directed to conduct an in-depth inquiry into the matter and submit report within three days. They have been also directed to look into the work and conduct of teacher Joginder Singh posted at HSS Rajgarh who has also been allegedly posting objectionable content on social media. "Pending enquiry, Om Raj, Teacher, Govt. High School Soomber, is hereby placed under suspension, with immediate effect, for posting blasphemous content on social media. During the suspension period the teacher shall remain attached in the office of Zonal Education. Officer Batote," reads the order issued by Chief Education Officer Ramban. "The Principal Govt. HSS Batote and Headmaster Govt. High School Jhatgali, shall conduct an in-depth enquiry into the matter and submit report to this office within three days positively, for initiation of further appropriate action in the matter," the order, a copy of which lies with the KNO, further reads. "They are further directed to also look into the work & conduct of one Joginder Singh, Teacher, HSS Rajgar who has also been alleged of posting objectionable content.”—(KNO)
