3 associates of LeT militant arrested in Sopore | KNO

Srinagar, May 30 (KNO): Three associates of Lashkar-e-Toiba (LeT) militant were on Saturday arrested by police in Sopore area of north Kashmir’s Baramulla district, police said. Police officials told news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO) that Sopore Police along with security forces arrested three LeT militant outfit associates and recovered arms, ammunition and other incriminating materials from their possession. “Sopore Police, 22 RR of Army and 179 Bn CRPF in a joint operation at Shangergund on Sopore Kupwara road arrested three militant associates of LeT outfit identified as Mushtaq Ahmad Mir @ Lashkiri, son of Abdul Gaffar Mir of Brath Kalan Sopore, Mudasir Ahmad Mir, son of Muhammad Hamza Mir of Brath Kalan Sopore and Athar Shamas Mir, son of Shams-u-din Mir of Brath Kalan Sopore,” police said. Police added that incriminating materials including arms and ammunitions were recovered from their possession. "One UBGL thrower, four UBGL grenades, four AK- 47 magazine, 137 rounds of AK- 47 Ammunition were recovered from them," police said. Police said that a case under FIR number 125/2020 under section 7/25 I. A. Act, 18, 23, 38 ULA (P) Act has been registered in Police Station Sopore in this regard while investigation has been taken up –(KNO)
