Man booked for escaping from quarantine center in Rajouri | KNO

Rajouri, May 30 (KNO): Rajouri police on Saturday arrested a person for escaping from an administrative quarantine center in Thanamandi area of Rajouri. Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Rajouri, Chandan Kohli told news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO) that a man identified as Shakeel Ahmed, son of Abdul Ghani of Bhanghai Thanamandi was in administrative quarantine center at Boys Higher Secondary School Thanamandi wherefrom he escaped in the intervening night of Friday-Saturday. “Soon after the matter came to the fore, special police team headed by Station House Officer (SHO) Fareed Ahmed under the supervision of Sub Divisional Police Officer Sajjad Khan was framed, which conducted raids at various places,” the police officer said. The person was later traced and arrested and has once again been put into the administrative quarantine as per SOP, he said, adding that a case under FIR number 102/2020 under sections 188, 269 IPC and 3 EPD Act has been registered in Thanamandi Police Station against him—(KNO)
