A senior police officer told news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO), the accused was arrested during a drive against those involved in drug peddling in the area He identified the accused as Mudasir Ahmad Wagay son of Gulam Mohammad Wagay of Hakbara Hajin. “A case FIR No. 22/2020 under section 8/22 NDPS act has been registered at police station Safapora and further investigation into the matter has been taken up,” he said. Meanwhile, Police assured that stringent action will be taken against the drug peddlers and their supporters.
