Rajouri adm terms it rumour, DM orders for FIR registration

Jammu, March 02 (KNO) : A post on a Twitter handle claiming death of eight Indian army soldiers and injury to many others with their bodies lying in district hospital Rajouri created fear across state with district administration Rajouri strongly refuting the information ordering police for registration of FIR against the twitter handle. As per details with KNO, in the evening hours, screenshots of a Twitter handle went viral on social media. On this twitter handle being run on the name of Dr. Rajiv Tripathi, who was shown as medical superintendent of district hospital Rajouri. In the tweet it was claimed that, " Update from district hospital Rajouri. So far we have received eight bodies of soldiers including 1 captain and 32 injured who belongs to army and para military forces." Soon after this post was made, it went viral on social media and was retweeted by hundreds of people while some media platforms across LoC also used the screenshots. However, KNO sources said that soon after this post went viral, security agencies were put on their toes and investigation was started wherein it was found that no one with the name of Dr. Rajiv Tripathi is posted in district hospital Rajouri. Similarly, no incident of deaths or injuries had taken place anywhere across Rajouri district on Saturday. Meanwhile, DM Rajouri Mohammad Aijaz Assad refuted the information directing police to register a FIR against the twitter handle. " Let me put it straight. No such person with this name Dr Rajiv Tripathi exists here as MS in district Hospital Rajouri. Entirely a fake news, rumour mongering, false propaganda from a fake profile. Have ordered lodging of FIR against the twitter handle." DM Rajouri said.(KNO)
